Health practice expands weekend walk-in hours in Greencastle
You leave work and get home to a child with a sore throat. You check their temperature and as the mercury rises, so does your concern. It's after hours; should you go to the emergency room or wait it out and hope for the best?
For residents in the Greencastle area, expanded walk-in care hours mean more options for convenient, quality care.
Starting April 30, Summit Primary Care and Walk-in - John L. Grove Medical Center expanded walk-in care by two hours and is now open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
“Summit Health understands that illnesses don't always strike at ideal times so, it's important for us to be available to care for you,” said Senior Vice President of Physician Services Niki Showe. “Your health is our priority and we hope the extended weekend hours will help lessen the burden when you have an unexpected illness and need to be seen by a healthcare provider.”
Walk-in care continues to be available from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. Primary care hours are 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday; 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday; and 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday.

FastCare, walk-in care and urgent care treat a range of common ailments and minor injuries, including:
• Minor illnesses (like cold and flu)

• Urinary tract infections
• Poison ivy, insect bites and minor skin rashes
• Stomach viruses
